But.. I miss my nerds at home. I went to the Rocky horror Picture Show at the Orpheum and then went to IHOP and it was really cool and all but... these nerds are so... not cool. I know- paradoxical, right. But, one of them was just completely socially awkward and not even smart to balance it out

i have not found my nerds yet either. i have found my shamari but thats about it. i have not read twilight either. good job

Drama Nerds can be really annoying: I sympathize. One trick for dealing with them is to bring up precisely how crappy Metro's drama "program" was. Another way is to grab onto a show they bring up and use that as a segway to another topic. You'd probably already thought of these, but it's the best I got.
As to the Youtube videos, I got absolutely nothing, as I am more than a little guilty of doing that myself.
I hope you enjoy orientation! I'm still impressed with how hardcore you are.
