The situation in the middle east is garnering nearly as much media attention (with the exclusion of FOX news, of course, whose zionistic yearnings and desires send piss shivers at the orgasmic thought of the start of armageddon) as did the katrina disaster almost a year ago. And just think: everything was hunky-dory until Hezballah decided to kidnap an Israeli soldier for what appears to be no reason whatsoever, at least that's the story (or lack thereof) we're getting from the news sources. The little to no attention paid to the state of affairs in Palestine really helps our efforts to back Israel on this, who are simply defending themselves by decemating a country that has refused to activate its armed forces. Apparently the Israelis are willing to bomb out the entirety of Beirut in order to flush out these terrorist forces. The winners in this little escapade: the men and women in the limelight who are building their political clout for future elections. The losers: the people they are supposedly representing. God (or Allah, or the Spinoza instalment of God) bless representive government, huh? I could go on for hours about this mess, but I won't; perhaps I'll save it for morning and do it on my own blog.
