Another housecleaning

I realize that some of the people I thought were loyal really aren't. They act as though they are then turn around and don't uphold that bond. I have removed them. I don't want them in my life.

I have been kicked enough. I am through.

I have been through this process of testing loyalty among friends about a year ago. To find that my best friend backstabbed me to get what he wanted.

He succeeded, but in the process he threw away a 5 year friendship and said I was not fair.

What is fair when you give and give and give and they never give in return? We give our heart and soul to those very close to us, but when we find they are no longer with us because of their personal vendetta. We think back all those years to find the mistake we made that caused them to do what they did. But after some time we realized it was they who fucked up, not us, it was they who never understand the true power of loyalty, trust and honor. Yes we get hurt in the process because we opened our hearts to them. We have to cut the strings to those we hurt us most and tell them to move on in their lives. If we give in and they hurt us once again after giving them a second chance, it is then our fault for doing so.

This I know...

It's sad a game is what brought it out.
However, in a way I am thankful - for it means that I won't have to deal with something that could have really hurt me given the chance to.
