Another interesting tidbit by way of
Gloria Brame:
"The Hyatt Regency Chicago chose to host the International Mr. Leather convention. This is a huge sadomasochistic celebration in which they sell and promote some of the most vile pornography . . . ever concocted by mankind."
- Peter LaBarbera, president, Americans for Truth about Homosexuality
Read the full story here. Of course, LaBarbera also posted stories about the IML "perversions" on his own Web site-with photos, prominently labeled (in red, no less): "WARNING: Interview contains highly graphic content describing twisted behaviors; NOT for children" (which, of course, would make any child [or anyone else] who stumbled onto his site want to read on from sheer prurient interest) -- not once, not twice, but three times:

"Bestiality Porn for Sale: Depraved IML Practices Recall Alfred Kinsey's Masochistic Perversions: Bestiality, scat, barebacking porn videos part of IML scene" -
"LETTER: Hyatt Regency Chicago Defends Hosting [IML] in the Name of 'Diversity'" (with a photo of a 'doggie slave' in black latex on all fours)
Whenever I hear or read crap like this from people who devote their lives (at least publicly) to opposing homosexuality or other consensual sexuality, I almost expect to hear shortly about some scandal involving their own repressed urges.
Apparently, according to
lolitasir, this guy's been attending leather events regularly
since at least 1994! Based on his apparently close perusal of the IML vendor area, LaBarbera called the offerings "indescribably evil" and is sounding the alarm to warn good family folk away from the hotel's defiled beds:
LaBarbera also believes there are few people who would want to knowingly stay in the hotel rooms rented by the estimated 18,000 men participating in the International Mr. Leather's celebration of sadomasochism. "All sorts of perversion was [sic] going on in those rooms," he states, "and I just wouldn't want to stay in a room where that occurred ...."
Perhaps the gentleman "doth protest too much." Ya think?
