[The feed clicks on, and anyone watching will be greeted to a violent flurry of motion. The communicator has been carelessly tossed to the ground, but it fortunately landed face up, and is recording all the action. Sharp snarls and high-pitched squeals are coming from all directions, and one might recognize the mischievous, darting shapes as

[To Saki's credit, he does at least pause temporarily, white eyes darting across the meadow until they finally land on the communicator. He recognizes Saki--or that much can be implied in the way he settles back down, still chewing thoughtfully. No, he has no intention of putting it down. He's hungry. Again.]

[Those long, pale ears twitch for a moment, and the Deity fixes the small girl with an icy stare. He doesn't appear to be particularly perturbed--interested, perhaps, but she's no threat to him or his meal.]

Meat. [He replies simply, but he'll curl his lips after a moment.]

Had better.

[ivorymask]

[The Oni pauses mid-bite in order to peer at the communicator, eyes narrowed with interest.]

Shade. [He names the being. And what would a little shade want with him?]

[There's a faint snort at the correction, but fortunately the Oni has food to focus on instead of taking offense. The question earns a head tilt, but no response. He simply--is. There is nothing else quite like him, and there likely never will be.]

[Well... Link was so hungry he ate a bit of moblin before, so this wasn't much different, right? Though at least he'd cooked his disgusting meal first. The bestial nature of the god, which he'd only been vaguely aware of, was continuing to shock and surprise him.

He turned the feed on, gave him a smile, and then said:]

Napkin?

Link. [The Deity pauses to name him through a mouthful of meat, a little pleased that the boy chose to contact him.]

[He has no earthly idea what a napkin is, though, so he'll just choose to ignore that.]

[His smile grows a little, and he stifles a chuckle. Despite how disgusting the image is, he couldn't help it.]

Don't you want to cook it first?

Takes time. [So dismissive. Clearly the Oni is too good for time, okay.]

[ Kyouko eats a lot of things. And in quite big portions too. It can even be said she pretty much has an iron stomach, but to see anyone actually trying to eat the fae doesn't sit right with her. Not that she cares about the creatures, but she can bet they taste awful. ]

Are you sure you want to eat that?

[The girl again. He remembers her.]

Meat is meat. [The Oni doesn't understand what she means. What else would he eat? And why is everyone against him and his meal?]

Sure, meat is meat, won't disagree with ya on that. [ She shrugs a little, not entirely unfriendly. ]

The problem is just that I dunno if you can even call the flesh on those things meat.
