keep your fingers crossed for me. I need a component fixed on my car. A Crank Position Sensor. And it damn well should be convered under warranty. So when the dude calls back from the dealership he and I will have words. Otherwise what good is a !0 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty if it doesnt cover engine components ( Read more... )

so if he denies the warranty I'm going to ask for the documentation specifying that its NOT covered.

if that doesn't work, kick him square in the baby maker.

Of course its not covered. I called the Hyundai Consumer Affairs number to confirm it. Fraking 60,000 miles coverage on sensors. stupid cars. I bet moving parts arnt covered under the power train either.

That's absurd! What the frick!

I hope you let them know what you think of that! You can't call it a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty if its only 60,000 miles! Wear and tear parts are one thing, but there is no reason a crank position sensor should ever go out.

Hope they don't nail you too bad on the repair costs. :(
