Well, first of all, you left it for too late.

Second...buy yourself, ship UPS or FedEx. I don't know if there is anywhere that you can buy and ship overseas. And, it'll let you avoid the whole Christmas shipping wars.

Good luck!

First of all "I" didn't leave it to late - trust me it was a group effort

Secondly I am not at all concerned with it getting there prior to the holidays...

Third having it shipped here - then turning around and shipping it internationally is just silly and a waste of $$ - not to mention how banged up they'll be when the DO arrive...

I know there are plenty of chocolatiers in both Australia and Germany... I just don't know who the 'good' ones are ...

I am basically asking in an effort to avoid sending someone the equivalent of a box of Hershey Kisses ...

If you want to send zee shocolat, send zChocolate.

You could also try Gifts To Europe.

Although I have to recommend Neuhaus chocolates, since my great great grandfather Jean started the company. :-b But technically that's Belgian/Swiss chocolate.

their web site is down for some reason. But the shop is at 3489 16th Street in SF.
Also http://www.scharffenberger.com/ is great.

Remember that anything that you buy at Under One Roof, 100% of proceeds go to HIV/AIDS organizations. They have really cool Bay Area themed items too that the Aussies and Germans might enjoy. This is my favorite place to buy gifts.

oh and the store always has more things and rotating cool stuff then the web site.
It's run by a bunch of gay men, trust me, it's good fun stuff.

for your own chocolate lust, make sure to go to the Ferry Building Market and try the Recchiuti chocolates. I have never tasted any chocolates like these...

I also got a bottle of body oil there.. chocolate saffron scented. it's total aphrodisiac for me....

btw, Jan 3rd Sunday. Can you shoot? I think it's the 22nd.
