I'm working on Loobylu's March assignment for her Month of Softies. It's supposed to a doll of me age 7. She doesn't look at all the way I envisioned her. When I was about 2 or three, my mom made her mom and I both Ragedy Ann Dolls. She embroidered the faces on, and on their chests, were the little hearts, and everything. I think they even had belly buttons! I totally took it for granted! Ragedy Ann's are a good place to start, though!

That's neat she did that for you guys. My mom couldn't sew a hem.

I think I just need to get a pattern and mess with it to make it my own. I don't know why I'm so interested in doll making lately. I think maybe because I have many fiber interests and am good at none of them. I knit, spin, weave and embroider- a little. I'm also really interested in sewing. I can't seem to focus on just one. Seems like maybe I could use all those things on something small, like a cloth doll.
