The herbs I planted before I left for Wisconsin all died. It didn't rain one day while I was gone and Bee didn't water as carefully as he could have. He just put out the sprinkler and I guess it didn't reach the herbs. My yard looks like crap and so does my lame garden. I can't decide if I should just give-up at this point or at least throw out

Throw the seeds into the ground! If nothing else you'll get greenery and some flowers and attract some butterflies.
