When I was a kid, there used to be this really big yarn that our moms bought to use as hair ribbons. Very bright, super chunky and most likely acrylic. I think it was sold already cut to hair ribbon size- but I might just think that because I can't imagine my mom going to a craft store and buying a skein of yarn. My mom is the anti-craft. It was

I haven't seen those in years! They were sold in pre-cut, multi-color packs.
I remember my sister having them braided into her hair, in these high-up pigtails on the side of her head. I think she has a first-day-of-school picture like that.

Now I'm on the hunt. I want some too!

I remember those too! I wore them at the end of my pigtails, in bows. Maybe Goody still makes them?

I'd totally forgotten about those! I'm wearing them in every picture of me from age 2 to 8.
