My son lives in a house with pale blue walls, patterned blue fabric on the furniture, deep blue rugs on the floor and blue paintings on the walls- yet when he came to show me his co-cop art homework, a drawing in monochromatic colors, he'd managed to do it wrong. now i'm curious: what did his drawing look like, and what is his definition of 'monochromatic'?

He drew his Converse high tops with blue stars and the rest was black and white.

I just walked into the living room and he was sitting on the blue couch in blue jeans and a blue sweater lounging on a blue pillow. How can a kid who lives in a monochromatic house not get this concept.

It started with the blue walls because our old roommate's blue paintings were so calming to me. He gave me a few of the paintings so then there were the walls and the paintings in blue. After that it seemed like every time I added anything new I veered towards blue. I guess I need a lot of calming influences around me!
