I need a new planner. The one I've been using for years only goes through December of each year. This is why I don't know when our dental appointments are this month. I made them back in October, and can't remember where I wrote down the details. Obviously not on my planner's calendar, because it stopped on the last day of December '08. The planner ( Read more... )

I always pick up those free calendars at places....the last couple of times, I've been lucky and gotten the free ones with two years of calendar in them - woo! See how cheap I am! lol

I need something big and notebook-ish or I lose it in all the piles in my house.

I write on my hands, and in 5 or 6 different small random notebooks that are scattered around my house, car, and office. I drive myself crazy with my lack of an organization system.

Really?! I always assume someone with a thinky, intense job like yours probably has to carry around a big old filofax or needs a Blackberry.

You can print planner pages off line and indeed - keep them in a notebook.

For a year and a day, I've used The Sacred Journey, because it has a monthly calendar with little blocks so I can look at the whole month, then it has a page per week with room to write appointments - more than one - on each day (and put little post-it notes there too) and beside that page is a blank page - on which I am supposed to write gratitudes or affirmations but I use it for to-do lists or now to-do post-it notes. There are also enough blank pages for other things that might come up.

I use an awesome day planner, spiral-bound, but I can't find it in my bookmarks now. I order it every year, I know it's there somewhere! What I love is that it's an academic year planner, so it goes from June of one year through I think August or September of the next. I buy it once a year so there's always an overlap.

Here is a link to the planner I use. I love the layout... it suits the needs of my diverse life, with lots of room to meander. It's also big enough that it rarely gets lost in the mess of my home. It's actually the only planner that I am still using by midway through the year.

And it's on sale!
