Unable to sleep much last night; work dragged for me as it was extremely busy and I was barely functional. However, pleased that a couple of coworkers asked me to do IVs for them as, they said, "you're so good at them." Nice to have the skill returning

A nurse in pre-op...well anywhere really but it always seemed to matter to me more in day surgery....who can do an IV right the first time is worth the weight of the hospital in gold. (Or emeralds, if you'd rather).

My veins are very visible, but very small. I can't count the number of screwed up IVs I've had. Using a needle thats too large, or going too deep and *through* the vein...you name it, I've experienced it. If I had a nickel for every nurse who said "Im sorry, I have to try that again." I could take a 5 star vacation through Europe
