Edwards admits to affair.

D'oh! There's always been something slimy about him. In my experience, it's always the men who profess to love their wives the most, the ones who jump first on the moral high ground, that are the first ones to cheat. I don't know why that is? I am always so disappointed by people who speak out against adultery and say they support "traditional family values" when they get caught like this. It's certainly "traditional" to cheat on your spouse. Grrr...

On the funeral--I think that's awful--beyond awful. The PETA ad that capitalized on it was horrid, too. WTF, world?

Oh yes, that PETA ad is awful too. I forgot about that.

I have (I think) a healthy understanding of why affairs happen, and believe that they are not always the end of a marriage. I mean, things happen between two people that we can never be privy too. But I am always struck by how its so often the men who are the most effusive about their feelings for their spouse.

Those guys got stopped at the border like 20 minutes away from where I live. I'M SO PROUD OF OUR LOCAL CANADA.

I know it's pointless because they want to be hated, but dammit I hate the Westboro Baptists.

I try not to think about them at all usually, because the hate nabs me too - which yeah, seems so counterproductive.

I think the best response I've seen is that kid who went and Rick Rolled them at one of their protests.

I hope they get arrested. The Winnipeg police say they are ready. I think it's sick they need to be taking measures against something asinine like this.
