Powell endorses Obama.

This makes me happy. I've always really admired and respected him. In this clip, he says something that makes me feel very guilty (in the defense of Obama as 'not a Muslim'); no one is stopping to say that, It's okay to be a Muslim. This is America. Why can't a seven year old boy who is a Muslim dream of being president one

I was just about to post the same story. This quote made me throw my hands up in celebration:

"I'm also troubled by, not what Senator McCain says, but what members of the [Republican] Party say... such things as 'Well, you know that Mr Obama is a Muslim'. Well the correct answer is, 'He's not a Muslim, he's a Christian, he's always been a Christian'. But the really right answer is, "What if he is?' Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer is 'No', that's not America."

I love this man, always have. And I sincerely hope to see him in a prominent place in the Obama-Biden cabinet or advising same on a regular basis.
