Today has been better. The front door is deadbolted, Ella is napping (at 8 am.?) and I am trying to get past the knot in my chest and just be grateful that I caught her. The reality of the situation is this: horrible things do happen. If we can actually do something about these things happening, I don't know. In my line of work, I have seen some of the most horrible shit happen to completely undeserving people, and most of the time, there was no way that these people could predict that this would happen to them.

On that note, it is good to have faith and religion... Coming from a person who was kidnapped briefly at age 4 and been pulseless and apenic for 7 minutes at age 17, I have a lot of faith... There is something out there looking out for us, and for the most part they do a damn good job... for the most part. Just be glad that everything came out well for you.
