Wow you seem in a much more "sorted" position than when you were writing in here before you took the decision to go back to uni.
At least if you go to London there'll be ample opportunity to explore your interests in Japan/Japanese culture (I imagine more than north Wales, at least).
I don't have a lot of HR-type experience to pass on but my salary is much more than what I started on three years ago so don't be too disheartened by starting salaries - they do go up.
Thanks Julie, yes, it does feel like I'm in a much better position. Not just in terms of my options on the table, but mental attitude too. I was feeling quite disillusioned before I decided to go back, but now I'm feeling a sense of renewed optimism. There's nothing quite like pressing the 'reset' button
