Well, it's done - my mama had both knees replaced on Tuesday. She's had arthritis for years, the kind they don't make meds for (is that osteo or rheumatoid?), and combined with aging & weight, she needed to have them replaced. A whole lotta nothing
I'm feeling blah today, with no real motivation to do much of anything, so I'm just going to blather on here.
Unfortunately, my lack of motivation is at serious odds with the site visit for our graduate program review on Friday and a candidate for an endowed chair in our department coming Monday, but that's how it is. Boss is out today with the ( Read more... ) -
Clawing my way back
Well, the eyes are better, though still not 100%. As I knew they would, they put me back on steroids, but a lower dose than in the past, and a fairly quick tapering off them. Good in the "doesn't make me CRAZY" kind of way, bad in the "this is taking too long" way....but in thinking about it now, I think I'm going to have to go with being glad I' ( Read more... ) -
Stupid f'ing eyes
My stuIid eyes are goobed up again. I have an emergency appt at Casey in Portland at 4 pm today, and they'll put me back on steroids, I'm sure. I'm so bloody tired of this.

So tired....
I'm so freaking tired. Too much to do, not enough time, people chewing my ass right and left, and I'm still behind on everything and feeling horribly guilty about the stuff I haven't gotten to yet and people I haven't talked to. I damn near cried yesterday I was so stressed out and tired, and I haven't done that since my steroid dose was way high ( Read more... )
