OK SO, KAT. KAT THIS IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY AND I CANNOT FATHOM WHY YOU WERE RELUCTANT TO POST THIS FOR SO LONG?? I was basically cresting at the description and cover art alone (if someone had told me not more than six months ago that BINARY CODE of all fucking things in the world would elicit emotional responses from me I would have ugly laughed right in their face, AND YET). And ok, I was a huge nerd about this and read the lyrics (that I could find) along to each song as I listened, and I am still weeping over the perfect triumvirate that is tracks 3 to 5. Just, that sequence of songs reflects all the things that are so compelling about the dynamic you created with this AU -- I love the twisted, seductive thrill of Meet Me on the Darkside, the kind of freaky, unnerving melody and lyrics in Sick Couple, and then along comes Beautiful Boy with "To the traitors I gave trust / I had faith in dirt and rust / When one does one needs one's door / But I don't live like that anymore" and I actually felt like I got punched in the gut and ( ... )

ahdlfglgjla I loooove that you did that, cause a lot of times I have to pick and choose which lyrics to post and it's like I WANT THEM ALL. So yes I'm so happy cause you got the full effect. XD

AND UGH BEAUTIFUL BOY IS JUST SO FUCKING PERFECT, RIGHT? For both of them! Just. Mark opened all his doors for Eduardo and Eduardo let himself walk through them, lemme get all corny and cheesy at once but yes.

AND THE ROOM ELEVEN SONG WAS SUPPOSED TO DO THAT EXACT THING. I always think of Eduardo like making Mark dance when I listen to it. Grabbing his hand and twirling him around until he cracks a smile that Eduardo has to kiss. XD

omggg CHIN-HANDSING FOREVER AT THE IMAGE OF EDUARDO BEING ALL HYPER AND SILLY AND TWIRLING MARK AROUND THEIR LIVING ROOM AND MARK BEING A GRUMPY OLD MAN ABOUT IT BUT OF COURSE HE CAN'T HELP BUT START SMILING BECAUSE EVERYTHING THIS BOY DOES TURNS HIM INTO A HELPLESS DIMPLED HAPPY IDIOT. XD

And he'll put up with it because he knows he can even the score later in the bedroom by punishing him extra hard for making him dance to Vengaboys or whatever godawful music Eduardo had blasting on their sound system >:D

I wish I could find something nearly coherent to say but the truth is that I'm not proficient or passionate about music. I AM passionate about Mark and Eduardo, more precisely, YOUR MARK AND EDUARDO. Like, I can't possibly say it enough, but you've created a story and characters that fit cannon so well but are so distinct and interesting and clearly in love that it is heart-aching. And this is just the perfect pitch to complement their relationship. I honestly feel like I need a reread because I felt so much listening to these songs and reading the lyrics and seeing which lyrics you chose highlight! I love the contrasting quality of the songs that you chose; I really want to choose a favorite but as soon as I made a note to mention one, I'd feel the same about and adore the next one just as much. I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU HOW I'VE HAD LASSO, MEET ME ON THE DARK SIDE, CAN YOU GIVE IT, AND WOODEN ARMS ON REPEAT. I've been pretty obsessed with these choices, tbh ( ... )

Okay, I have yet to read the fic this fanmix is for, but I recently got into TSN fandom and just had to look up if there were any good mixes for Mark/Eduardo. And wow, this sounds amazing. I'm only halfway done listening to the whole thing, but I love it already. Thanks for making this! (The link to the zip's dead, but I searched for the songs anyway so I could give them a listen--the playlist just looked that awesome.)
