in art, only the fool is governed by the standards of others. You could create your masterpiece and it might be the worst painting someone has ever seen, or the best poem ever written but to someone else it could look completely different. What is important, and what makes it good art, is if it is an honest expression, devoid of anything except the artists feelings on the subject. Even if the world hates your art, it's still art as long as it's an accurate representation of an inspiration.
