listen this is what i've come to terms with (and i've really thought about this):

if someone is just not nice, they can't hide it. so we should accept the way they are and feel sorry for them that they have to try and cover themselves up instead of being open with themselves and trying to improve themselves.

i'm not sure if that makes sense, but this is how i feel on the subject so i am have tried to be the bigger person about it for a while and that's the most you can do, i guess.
