So, any Borders branded stuff your gonna keep? Lanyards, Bags, copies of termination forms, whatever. Or are you just gonna chuck it all into the nearest Salvation Army Bin?
I had a Borders-branded white tote that I was using to haul around some big-ass textbooks. My cat threw up all over it on the day they announced final liquidation. Now I use a plain old shopping bag.
I was a trainer, so I have a cubic buttload of t-shirts, mugs, totes and other stuff packed away in a box (I quit 10 years ago and I suffer from packrat-itis). I also have some UK Borders items mixed in there, as I helped open the Glasgow store.
I left there less than a month short of my 10 year anniversary because I couldn't stand it anymore. Now that a lot of time has passed, I remember my time there more fondly than not and I'm still in touch with more than a few of my co-workers.
I don't think I'll be doing a purge of my Borders T-Shirts anytime soon. Some of them are back from the day when each store designed their own and there are some REALLY cool ones.
Aww, I was going to ask if you had any generic multiple Borders t-shirts you'd be willing to part with for $$, but if they're mainly custom gems then I understand clinging to them. The only one I have I placed in a t-shirt frame.
