awwww hun. :(
i know you loved him because i remember you telling me every single one of those stories about him through the years.... i'm sorry. even though you knew it was coming doesn't make it any easier and there's nothing anyone can really say to make you feel better.
so be emo.
eat ice cream in front of sappy movies.
get fucked up if you want ;)
and know that we all love you more than you know

and for the record, i think that when dogs die they go up with all the other dogs and play in the big field and jump around catching frisbees and have tons of fun and they are all very happy :)

aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww sweetie!!! that made me laugh and then brought me to tears. i can just see you (as a hellish little girl) and jules poking snickers with sticks and getting in lots of trouble. i know how much you loved snickers...but sadly all dogs go to heaven (remember that classic movie). i can understand (to some point) the pain you are in because now i look at my dog and i cant understand life without him. just keep your head high and let me know if there is anything i can do to make you feel better. ill be up in TWO weeks! ill be givin' ya BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG hugs.

love you

are pets not allowed for college kids? asonimie November 11 2003, 05:00:44 UTC
what's with this? bertil's dog last year, now yours....that's horrible. i only met your dog once, but he was bombshit, most dogs are. it's hella sad when pets die, when we had to put duke to sleep, i was a whiny boy for like ever! and yeah it does suck that you can't be there to say goodbye, but maybe it's better this way, you don't need to remember him as lifeless, but rather running around the yard with a wagon to his neck. i think its better like that

sorry

My condolences. I'm so attached to my dog, even though he lives with my parents, that I talk to him on the phone (seriously!). I am even more attached to Norman than I was to our first dog, and I cried for ages when she died.

I think it can hurt as much when a pet dies as when we lose a human we love, since we can unapologetically feel emotions towards them. And we always know they really loved us.
