Well, actually Lady Mastermind's costume is pretty noticeable, since you find yourself wondering how she keeps her boobs from falling out. Only Emma Frost's Frank Quitely-designed negative-X costume was more obvious about requiring adhesive to function ( Read more... )

Your comment about the costuming, of course, drove me to check Google Images for them. These clearly defy the laws of physics. Are their mutant powers related to telekinesis? How much brainpower would it take to constantly keep your costume applied properly? And what would happen if you got distracted, knocked unconscious, etc?

Heh. Nope, Emma is a telepath who can also turn her body into diamond, and Regan generates illusions. Perhaps she just generates the illusion that her costume stays on... Emma's actually gotten relatively conservative with her outfit recently, but after poking through a few screens of google image search results, http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n293/maniacwc/EmmaFrost.jpg (art by Salvador Larocca) shows the most absurd version of her costume clearly.

Well her powers allow her illusions to continue even after she's unconscious so i doubt that a simple illusion regarding her clothes would prove much difficulty for her...
