Sticky Post of Not Very Many Fic

Jan 01, 2020 07:56

It's been brought to my attention that I really should have a 'sticky post' of my fic even though I really haven't written that much. And I will admit, when I go trolling through someone else's LJ, looking for their fic, I'm much relieved and gratified when I find a nice neat index of their writing that's readily available, so here's mine, by ( Read more... )

Fast & Furious was my very first true fannish love and Gravity was the first fanfic I ever wrote. That sucker tops out at nearly 68,000 words and took me the better part of 7 months to complete. I'm still very proud of it even though it has a multitude of flaws. *G*

I just want to tell you that I read Gravity five years ago (that's right isn't it? You had posted it by 2006?) and that I have continued to reread it since then. I laugh, I cry, I empathize, and I respond, every single time I read it. Thank you for that - thank you for sharing your talent. Gravity has been the only bright spot in my day more than once.

Wow, that probably has to be the best compliment I've ever received on any of my - admittedly few - fics. I'm so glad you continue to enjoy it. And the story was post serially on the YahooGroups probably in 2003 (I think).

When you turn out fics over 50,000 words, we're simply boggled, and don't mind that there's only a "few." Though we greedy readers always wish for more, I feel simply blessed to have this novel at my fingertips. I read that you see Brian differently now, and may not have written the story the same today, but in the tale he is both believable and consistent. Kudos. You'll always be a slashfic god to me.

If I wrote Gravity today it wouldn't be substantially different, just some of the nuances. But again, thanks for the fulsome praise. Re-reading it does wonders after my rather crappy week.

Hi, there! I was looking at spn_cinema, saw that you did "Bell, Book and Candle," one of my all-time faves, and immediately clicked the link . . . but I'm getting "access denied"? Is the fic still available to read?

Hunh. That's odd because it's not locked. I'll see if I can find out what's wrong. Anyway, here's the link for story on AO3.
Bell, Book and Candle It's one of my all-time favorite movies, also. I hope you like my version.
