Okay, so. A lot of you are from different worlds, different times, and so on. And at the moment I just have one question: how many of you haven't had a donut before? Because I'm just now biting into one for the first time in over nine months, and--well, they're fucking delicious

You really want me to ruin the surprise? Well, no harm I suppose. They can taste like a variety of things depending on what flavor you pick... I suppose the universal taste behind all donuts would be sugary, though.

Yeah, it's open to... pretty much anyone really. Got a whole box here, and I'm lacking in a big enough gut to fit all of them in if you catch my drift.

A... sandwich? No, not really. It's like sugary fried dough shaped into a ring. It's a breakfast food, though in my mind it could easily qualify as a dessert.

Honestly, though, I'm not entirely sure. Not all of them are--the ones filled with creme aren't.

Um, yeah. It's something that humans eat. You know, "fuel for organics" as you put it. It's tastes sweet.

Huh. Well, they're pretty good. What do you guys eat when you're... you know, when you're not human, anyways? If you don't mind me asking.

[Gideon's natural assumption would be something like gasoline or fuel, ut he's never seen any of the mechs on board guzzling it, so here he's thinking his first inclination is incorrect.]

Heh--it's not actually a nut. It's a little ring of fried dough. It's pretty good! Wanna try one?

S-- sure! I-I'll, uhm, I'll be there in-- in a minute.

[Xanth makes his way up to Sergei's in just a couple of minutes. Not like he was doing anything else, really.

When he spots Gideon, he breaks into a smile and waves with his right hand. As he approaches, Gideon might notice that on Xanth's left arm, a bit of bandaging peeks out just under the long sleeve and wraps up Xanth's palm and around his thumb.]

H-Hey!

[Gideon smiles and waves back, but when Xanth moves in his eyes narrow. Bandages. That means he's been hurt--again. Gideon makes no remarks and stays on topic... for now.

He pushes the box towards Xanth and opens it.]
