[Gideon is slowly making his way back from the gym, where he just got done with his first fightig "lesson" from Kevas. Which really just amounted to him soaking up hits and trying--unsuccessfully for the most part-- to return them. As such, he is quite sore now ( Read more... )

[Mimmi was on her way back to her room from deck one. She's been spending a lot of time up there since she, you know, died. Not too long ago.

She wasn't expecting to run into anyone. But there was Gideon. And she almost went on her way and just let him be until she got closer, and noticed he looked pretty beat up. And it wasn't just his hands this time.

So Mimmi quickly walks over, looking concerned]

Gideon! What happened?

[Gideon starts to laugh, and it gets cut off in a raspy cough. He clears his throat and then leans against the wall, trying to summon up all his willpower to not walk... "strangely". It doesn't work. His hands are still bandaged up and his nose is badly bruised.]

Got into a brawl with Kevas. Tryin' to learn to fight better, and he agreed to teach me.

That's not stupid-- if I can learn to fight a bit better than I can protect you, Gertie, Kate-- I can protect everyone I care about better! That's... not stupid.

[He's not denying the part about being hurt, though. Receiving a lowblow is really no fun at all.]
