To be honest, I can't see much of a pattern or anything resembling a "reason" behind who shows up and who doesn't. Then again, maybe that's expecting too much from a ship run by someone who is commonly accepted as a madman.

Point taken, especially considering the rumors that we aren't actually sailing on a ship at all... even going down below decks, we didn't really find anything too reality-shattering. Felt like Redd was toying with us.
