Just because John Wilkes Booth preferred Dixie brand cups and plates doesn't mean he's a jerk. The only thing Booth hated more than the Emancipation Proclamation was accidentally dropping his burger or Johannesville brat at a 4th of March barbeque because the host was too cheap to buy quality paper plates and plasticware.

Look, I'm not saying that Dixie doesn't make quality cups and plates. I'm just saying that maybe if the Confederacy didn't give Dixie the contract to build all of their ships and artillery, they might have won the war!

It is a long running joke. A very long running joke. I first learned about the tags from an entry posted by ngyoshi about his cat Maha. One of the entry tags was "cat". When I first started using entry tags, I posted "cat" as one of them and have been ever since. Even though most of the entries aren't about cats..
