It is with heavy hearts that we, the moderators, have decided to close this community. With the end of the Inuyasha canon, participation has declined across the fandom, and the IYFG has been no exception. We have decided to end on a good note, with our most steadfast members still nominating, voting, and enjoying this fandom

If you want one last burst of rage for old time's sake, you should do a Best of All Time poll. ;)

Sad news. I'm not surprised as there is a significant slow down in the fandom across the board, but still sad. It was great while it lasted, despite the occasional wank, but then every group has its wank :)

Agreed. It was fun but the participation really wasn't matching what the group needed to be a true success any longer. I'll miss it, but I think it's better to realize when to let go than let things fade slowly.

While I'm sad to see this fine awards group end, I understand completely why it is time.

I'm forever grateful to all who participated in this group, be they moderator, artist, writer, nominator, voter, or banner-maker. For me, it was fun while it lasted and I thank everyone who worked so hard to make it that way.

I'll miss you IYFG, but happily, I can still enjoy the archives. They are the true legacy of the high standards this group strived to uphold and maintain.

We've enjoyed it too, but all good things must come to an end and all that. I'm glad we're leaving behind positive thoughts and great fic. :)
