Prompt: Appreciation
Words: 250
Characters: Kagome, Miroku/Sango

Summary:AU. Sango is enraged but Miroku stokes the fire.

Kagome flinched as Sango stormed into the little cafe; flung the counter open and slammed it shut again and yanked an apron from the stand, tying it behind her with enough vigour that scissors would be needed to get it off again. Dutifully refilling the napkin holders, Kagome observed Sango’s fuming from the corner of her eyes.

“Gropers?” Kagome asked nonchalantly. Sango always got like this when she was groped... which seemed to be an awful lot; the girl was a lecher magnet.

“On the train,” Sango growled out menacingly, tying her hair into a severe ponytail that matched her ruthless mood.

“Owner-san is late,” Kagome murmured.

Sango practically hissed. “If he stayed at home life would be a lot easier.”

Kagome coughed to disguise her chuckle. Miroku, who owned their quaint little store, was Sango’s number one groper. The only problem was that he was also devilishly charming and head over heels for the tempestuous Sango. Making it very easy for Sango to fall for him...

Kagome enjoyed their interactions; they were absolutely adorable together.

“How cold, Sango-chan!” Miroku sang, bursting in through the back door and making a beeline for Sango. Sango stiffened like an enraged cat as he looped his arms around her waist and nuzzled her shoulder.

Kagome let out an awed noise as Sango, propelled by groper-induced fury, tossed Miroku over the counter and onto one of their sofas.

Dazed and bemused, Miroku looked to Kagome.

“Next time, show your appreciation with flowers,” Kagome advised.
