THERE'S WAYS TO MAKE IT LIGHTER, but I don't remember what the English equivalent of the option is, so in case just duplicate the soft-light layer until it's light enough (still on soft light)

THAT POSSIBILITY OCCURRED TO ME. :|

I suppose at some point I could invest in my own tablet instead of stealing yours, if I'm going to keep doing things with it. :|a

Holy crap, there have been some scans that I've wanted to cap but couldn't because of grey, grey shadow.

This might solve that if I can figure out how to translate it into Paint Shop Pro.

You're awesome!

IT'S BEEN AGES SINCE I LAST USED PAINT SHOP PRO, but if it has layers options like I remember (... I could remember wrong!), you should be able to find the equivalent pretty easily..! I think multiply is the same in all graphic programs, soft light might be not, but just try around and see whatever make it look less gray and think "must be that one"!
