I love how the lines of the desk mimic the desert sands, while the Papermate pen balances precariously upon the Sharpie.

To me, it speaks of desperation and codependence in the throes of an eternal hell.

The Sharpie represents all the leaders, the social rebels, the foundations of society. The Papermate represents relationships, delicate mates held together by a fine point and how it hangs on to the Sharpie so it won't be swallowed up by the sands of doom!
