Pedestrians have the right of way when at a crosswalk without a light. Drivers are supposed to stop and check oncoming traffic, and allow pedestrians to cross the street without hassle.

Pedestrians are not required to give hand signals before crossing the street. Why anyone would believe that they are is beyond my realm of comprehension. But, not

It's state law where i live that you yield to pedestrians in the crooswalk. However, no one follows that rule. :(

that's stupid. What are they going to do when some little kid gets ran over?

I mean "Oh, sorry about squashing your kid; I was being an asshole, and not obeying the set of rules I obviously had to learn before obtaining my license," somehow just doesn't cut it, you know?

I wish there was some way to force these people in to being better drivers.
