It was my first time ever eating at a banana leaf place~
It is one of Gervaise's favourite places (surprisingly, he loves eating out at curry house restaurants) and with us was Ramani (the Logistics Manager), Tracy, Li Na, Mindy and Bahiyah (all are my ex-colleagues now *sigh*).
According to Gervaise, the lunch was to celebrate our IPTV project which has been officially launched yesterday in Mont Kiara area only (for the time being).

The food was good and I learnt something interesting: the way you fold the banana leaf after you've eaten shows whether you like the food or not.
If you fold the leaf downwards towards yourself, it shows that you like the food. If you fold it otherwise (upwards away from yourself), it means that you don't like the food and wouldn't come there to eat ever again.
Gervaise said that this custom is not known to most people nowadays; it's one of the customs that are almost lost and forgotten in our modern society.
Which is kinda sad, I would say... such small but meaningful things (like the one I mentioned above) show how delicate traditional values are and how people back in the old days chose to convey messages in the most subtle ways.
Afterwards, Ramani brought us to Bandar Kinrara. He showed us this amazing house which he is planning to buy. It was a three storey house, 6 rooms + 6 bathrooms with a breathtakingly beautiful view from the balcony of the 3rd floor bedroom. The bedroom on the second floor had this open-concept bathroom; the bathroom ceiling was made from glass so you can look up and enjoy the blue sky while soaking in the bathtub or having your shower.
I know some people find this type of bathroom is sort of creepy. What if there are robbers/psycho stalkers climbing up your roof and end up on that particular see-through bathroom roof while you're there bathing...? Em, maybe can install a one-way glass there for the ceiling or use a glass tint so that no one can see you from the outside but you are able to see out.....?
Anyway, they designed the house so that the bathroom was secluded, not so easy to climb on to the bathroom's roof and the house itself was on top a hill quite near to the edge.
I love the overall design of the house- seeing the house made me wish I am a zillionaire so that I can own a house as nice as that *sigh* oh well... wishful thinking again :)
Wish I could upload photos of the house- couldn't find them on the net (forgot which housing area of Bandar Kinrara it was). Anyway, tak apalah. Doesn't really matter. Maybe if Ramani do buy the house, I can go and snap some pics to upload here.
