Do you have to go to meetings and talk in character all the time and stuff?

yep. the whole weekend is spent In Character (IC) and there are several talky-talky-beard-strokey meetings (mostly 'Conclave' meetings.- meetings to organise more meetings) and i sit outside in the sun and roll about in the grass. mostly we just muck about and kill each other.
