Interesting. Nice character moments, and just enough of the plot to make me wish there was more. :)

Yeah, the original idea would've had to be about five times the length--plot tends to get away from me. :) Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh... what a great little story. Definitely begs for more.

Daniel rattled off something, then noted their incomprehension and switched to English. “Better than this plant? The scholars I spoke with definitely found it helpful.” - oh, yes.... I can so see Daniel doing just this and then wondering why no one understands him. Perfect!

Glad you liked it! Yeah, Daniel and his language stuff was some of my favorite bits to write.

Oooh, this was goooood.

I love how Daniel needed three weeks to learn a new language, and how Sam managed despite that language barrier, and how poor Jack and Teal'c had to worry about their own survival. Talk about rolling the dice here!

My only bit of confusion was at the beginning, when I thought Janet's surgical gloves were regular ones in protection against the cold (since the patient was shivering). I had to reread a few paras to get that straight.

Thanks for a really intriguing story - I'm so happy to see you writing SG-1 again. :)

This was a fun project, although if I'd had more time, I probably would have made it a bit longer. Yeah, the idea of rolling the dice and having no clue what you might find or be able to bring back... I grinned a lot while writing this. (My favorite bit was Sam's.)

Glad you enjoyed it! I haven't written much fanfic at all in the past year or so, and it was cool to dip my toes in again.

Nicely done. Jack's time seems a bit foreboding.
