Shirow isn't really a writer in the sense of western perspective but who cares. I certainly don't.

The meme allows poets. In this case, I'm sure Shirow is more than qualified.

~I don't. He's a very creative writer, I think. :)

I loved your list. The writers that I am familiar with are all excellent...and I think now I'm curious to look up more information on the ones I'm not as familiar with as well. :D

I can definitely understand what you meant in your talk about DreamWorks and the 3D adaptation of GiTS. I really hope they won't change characters or story points to "appeal" to mass media either.

I've seen promotional things for Avalon, but haven't watched it yet. It does seem rather interesting. *makes a mental note to check it out*

Yep yep. Very creative, and very individual, methinks.

Haha. Which ones aren't you familiar with???

Yep yep. DIstorting something that's already awesome into something thinner isn't going to work for the fans, who cares if the critiques don't like the original ones. As long as the ones who appreciate it loves it, then it's fine.

YOu should. It's not so action-oriented, more philosophical but if the original GiTS movie was okay with you, then I think it's going to be good.

~Kinoko Nasu, Enid Blyton, Ryukishi07, and Ian Rankin. Though all of them seem really interesting after reading up on them more! :D
