Because I want to be able to keep track of what I use to make what (online websites have ingredients I don't have so I substitute). The original recipe I changed is
here.
Ingredients: (No measurement other than the meat because I add or subtract stuff in order to make sure my meat is covered by the sauce :D)
Vegetable Oil
Soy Sauce
Ketsup
Lemon
Garlic powder
Ground pepper
White Sesame seed
2 pounds Thinly sliced Beef Short Ribs
Directions:
In a medium bowl, mix the oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, ketchup, garlic, and ground black pepper. Place meat in a shallow glass dish. Pour marinade over the ribs, turning meat to coat thoroughly. Sprinkle white sesame seed on top of the ribs. Cover, and refrigerate for 3 to 6 hours.
Preheat grill for medium-high heat. Oil the grill grate.
Place ribs on the grill, and brush the remaining marinade on the ribs.. Grill meat for 5 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
My take: I just use the oven when its winter. Pre-heat the oven in 350F. Its 20 -30minutes each side. On the second 20-30 minutes, turn the heat down to 300F, and just stay close because depending on the thickness of the ribs it will cook fast.
