Liked the new Star Wars movie muchly!

Very enjoyable!

Kinda depressing though. You get alot of emotional attachment built up and it came down pretttty hard (and well!).

Definately worth a watch or more by everyone in the theatre. (end of an epic!)

Seriously. I knew it was going to be dark, and to be honest, it had to hit you hard in order to truly live up to our expectations and match the rest of the series. But it was almost painful to watch in places, anyway!

But the light side looked awfully cool, even while losing. ^_^v

Yeah, geez, parts of that were just plain heavy. One in particular that I remember well:

After the Order 66 was executed and the clones were blindsiding the Jedi. When Plo Koon (cone head Jedi master) was obviously at the fore-front (and had been for awhile) of a major and nasty offensive of a bleak world ,and his clones shoot him in the back. That one second he looks back and that haunted look of utter betrayal and...sadness. Wow. That just set the tone and scene right there more than anything for me.

Plus the offing of the jedi in general just was sad. Not because they were beaten in battle, but done in by betrayal. Almost as bad as being killed in their sleep or such.

Well, Anakin sure brought 'balance to the force' huh? Ya think some of those Jedi master's would have put two and two together though. (Light side far tipping the balance then...)

Lots of good pararells too. Plus it was really cool they managed to get the same actor who played the Emperor in the original trilogy to come back for these, as now he's old enough to look the part!

Yeah, isn't that awesome? I can't believe he was so young when he first played the Emperor...

As for the "balance" thing, the only way I can think of to explain that is that perhaps the Jedi had a different point of view about the nature of the Force. Maybe they felt as if the Jedi were always struggling to maintain peace and sometimes it seemed like an uphill battle. Bringing balance might have felt, to them, like bringing peace and calm and helping them to meet their goals. Balance, after all, is a word that kind of fits with their ideal of what the Force was.
