Some of you will remember the Childcraft books from the 1950s and 60s, and if you do, you know that they were treasure troves of prose, verse, and illustration.  Classics in every sense.

The volumes geared toward adolescents contained longer poems and tall tales -- material that was more challenging (though no less delightful) for more mature
