India is settled and unpacked. The apartment seems a little small now that there are two of us living here. I'm sure I'll get used to it, though. I"m really happy to be getting this time to spend with her. It looks like I am gonna be in and out of town for the next few weeks on work related matters. I'm not sure what to do about India. Its ( Read more... )

*walks into the living room and plops down on the couch*

So, this is where you're calling home now? It's not what I expected, didn't see you as the kind to move to the burbs.

I guess it is. Though I wouldn't really call it the suburbs.

*smiles back at her*

Okay, I saw a Starbucks when we were out the other day, so it can't be that small.

I liked meeting your friend Eva, she seemed cool. So who has all the money, her or her hot boyfriend?

I was thinking more that the atmosphere is less suburb~y unless you are comparing it to like that movie with Tom Hank, The 'Burbs. then yeah it's alot like that. Just don't let the Mayberry looks fool you.

*rolls eyes at her*

It's none of your business who has what kind of money or how hot my friends boyfriend is.

*widens her eyes*

Holy shit, you are serious! And you still live here?

So what do we do? Wear a cross and garlic and stuff? Stay inside after dark?

You can wear a cross. Though thats not an absolute thing. Garlic is still only used for cooking. And you don't have to stay inside at night. It's not a police state here. You just have to be careful, preferably don't go walking through one of the gazillion cemetaries in town, especially by yourself. Just major common sense things.

*smiles at her*

Yep, I still stay. I'm not planning on moving on anytime sooner either.

So, just do what you'd do back in New York? Don't go into bad parts of town alone at night, or at all if you can help it? I can do that.

Um, have you ever been attacked by one?

Not yet really. I've helped some friends um..take care of some that were gonna hurt others. But we were on the offensive so completely different sitch.

*frowns*

Its more than just taking the precautions you would take in the city. You have to change alot your ways of thinking. Anything can happen here. Stuff you couldn't even begin to prepare for. I don't want you going off thinking you can handle stuff just cause you live in New York.
