Just when I was thinking that things couldn't possibly get worse, Ashmore decided to bring his damn self and friends for a little picnic on the front lawn. Everyone was feeling a sense of dread, and then he just sat there, did nothing. Which made everyone get more uptight. This guy know how to fuck with peoples heads thats for sure

*shrugs* Eh, I'm okay. Its been a long week.

*sits down and looks at her* Anything new with you?

*leans over and kisses him* Yeah, I know baby. It's been pretty crappy.

*smiles, very quickly says* Umm lets see, Eva wants out of the infirmary. Was tempted to pay the nurse to drug her so she'll stay put. I'm not to keen on what will happen to me if she gets hurt again. Yuffie and my sister are sleeping together. I was thinking too that maybe I could help with the interrogation, being an empath and all. I could at least tell if he was lying or something.

*looks at him* How about you? Anything new happen out there to report?

*thinks* Well he seems well aware of what happened and he shouldn't have people remind him constantly of it even if they are angry. So I'm not really sure why he would allow people to do that.

*sighs* Everytime I go to the hospital room Paige is busy, I'm not sure if anyone has talked to her. Kinda unfair isn't it?

*smiles* Oh man, that must of been fun. How much did you torment the guy?

*thoughtful* Seems to me if he's the type of guy that takes responsibility like that, he'd also be able to deal with people being angry with him. He's got that quiet perserverence thing going for him.

Seems like she's hiding in her work, cause she was busy whhen I went to talk to her too. No it isn't fair. Its...I don't know, peoples thoughts and feeling are supposed to be their own. To have magic used on you to force you to talk, taking away your free will. I know that is wrong. It makes me wish I had more controll over the empath thing, cause I feel bad when I know what people are feeling without their permission.

*smiles* I hate to say it, but man was it fun. He sang like a canary. Very easily broken. All I had to do was keeping talking about India and he cracked. One of the highlights of my day.

*shakes his head* No it isn't fair. And you can't really help it. You think there's anything we can do? Some subtle way to ask her how she is?

*grins* Man I wish I had been there to see it. That would of cheered me up a lot to see. But he actually sang like a canary? What's a canary and what does it sound like when it sings?

I'll see what I can do, try talking to her or something see if theres anything we can do for her.

*smiles* Its an expression. I mean canarys sing, but it means spilled their secrets without too much pressure. I'm sorry sweetie. Next time I go to torture him, I'll make sure your there to see. Cause it really was priceless.

Really? But you aren't seething or drawing your sword? Why are you to India?

*smiles* Though can I ask you something else? Unrelated?

What do you know about reverse psychology? If India thinks I'm cool about this, or that I think Yuffie is a decent guy. She may dismiss him out of hand. But if it seems like I hate the idea, well suddenly Yuffie will seem a lot more interesting to her. Cause of course if big sister hate him, he's definitely the right kind of wrong. Worst that can happen, they hang out for a while decide it was fun but eh. No harm done. He isn't gonna try to kill her or get all psycho on her.

*nods* I think I understand. So I should pretend that you are not okay with it around her if it is brought up? That way she won't go for something worse? *thinks* Not sure how much sense it makes, but I'll do it.

*tilts his head curiously* Sure, what you do you want to know?

I know I don't make much sense, but I appreciate you just trusting me on it. It's...it's just a hunch I have on how best to handle this.

*smiles* I got tothinking and I am curious about something, about you. Is Penn your whole name? Is it short for something? Like Izzy is short for Isabella, which I think you knew.

I see, but you are okay with it now? What changed?

*shrugs* Eh its okay. I just changed it after my family died. Partly because I was trying to hide and partly because I didn't want to be reminded of my life before it happened. Didn't really help but it was worth a shot to try.

*tries to think*

I'm not really sure. *smiles* Maybe because still most people just call me Izzy. So its not like I have to hear it all the time. or maybe cause the reasons I wanted to change everything about myself, including my name,no longer exist. Those people can't hurt me anymore, either can the name.

*sympathetic*

I'm sorry, Penn. I shouldn't have asked.

*shrugs* It was a long time ago. Its fine, I just don't like using that name at all. Its a *pauses to think of the right word* lame name.

*looks at her concerned* Who was hurting you?

*smiles a little*

Oh come on it can't be that lame.

*shrugs*

No one like physically hurt me or anything. At least not when I was a kid. Just you know, being sent away for somethingthing like what happened didn't give me any warm, fuzzy feelings towards my family. It's no biggie. It certainly isn't the worse thing in the world that could happen to a person.

*looks at her* What do you feel that you need to confess?

When I first asked you about your name I had an ulterior motive.

*eyes pleading*

But please believe me that when you told my why you dont use it I only continued to ask because i was curious and not for the ulterior motive.

Well Yuffie said that you wouldn't draw a weapon on him cause he new you real name. And I said well if he told me then I would know and he would loose his blackmail power. He said he wouldn't tell me and that I would never find out. I said I bet I could, just thinking I could ask you and you would maybe tell me and it got a little out of hand and it ended up where I was betting Yuffie $20 that I could get you to tell me your real name.

*looks at him*
