I wonder if I will finish today… Considering what I spent I got quite a number of fanbooks, so of course I was bound to buy a also a ‘novel only’ by mistake. Hey with a cover like that who looks inside!?
Akai ito. - Anthurium/ruka

http://ringo4.web.fc2.com A delightful read… Joking aside I'll write what I think if I ever do read it.
Chigu-hagu na 500 g - mecon
‘An odd 500 g’, referring to the Naru-fox.
These are the times I think NaruSasu could even turn me into a furry argh
GOD STOP THAT
Wakare de hajmaru 10 no negai koto - Madaradama
Title translates as ‘10 wishes begin with separation’ /I think
The drawings aren’t that bad, if you ignore they’re all half-sketched in pencil. I don’t know why Naruto cries throughout the story but I guess it has something to do with the title.
Bad boy, I love you. - ROKKA/Yuinoz
http://merci.chips.jp/nrt/This author’s stories make me really wanna know what’s going on. Kiba, Shikamaru, and Kakashi have Sasuke come ask them something after some scene he has with Naruto who remains petrified. I didn’t understand the main deal cos I didn’t look up the kanji.
Minawa no ori
‘Cage of foam’
This was done very beautifully, I’m impressed by the way the artist depicts emotion.
Last but not least, the EVENT COLLECTION (NarutoXSasuke Only Anniversary Anthology). It has Emi at the end and KSL/沖村しの at the beginning. Emii’s piece has the apple/gravitation thing that represents the event and give it its name.
from Nobu’s Shichiban to Taka no daiundōkai (Team 7 and Taka’s great campaign party)
Karin’s epic face makes it
The stickers.
So now that what I bought is all covered, I’ll describe the things I did besides going around like crazy. While the music of the openings and endings played, I stuck all the stickers I collected (which took a while, I’m a tad obsessive with pointless neatness) on the paper for points in order to collect some prizes. But unfortunately, that didn’t happen. As soon as I got in line, it was soon announced that the bonus stuff was terminated. I didn’t even really get to see what they were, I was so seeing in limited vision. I barely made eye-contact with anyone or ever did more than the necessary. You could say I felt under pressure while having the time of my life, too bad I didn’t feel like that till all the tension went away. So I went to the drawing corner where I was greeted by Sasuke and Naruto.
(I didn’t see anyone putting their face in the space with the forehead protector, lol.)
There many of the attenders were drawing on the small memo-type of paper we had received in our participation bags, that were then posted to a large board. I obviously wanted to do it too, but I’m a slow drawer and I don’t draw well under scrutiny. So I took out a copy of one of my previous works (this
one) to use as reference. It’s not that easy to copy myself actually, my style relies mostly on inspiration, as I can only draw what I see or think to a certain extent. Having finally finished that (cos I took a lot of time) I handed it in and received a color illustration album with illustrations of Naruto and Sasuke respectively in resemblance to Sai’s picture book.
I was told photographs (?) would be posted on the event site when I asked the staff member if I could take any. It was really something, too bad I couldn’t really read any of the text on them.
A week before I missed the opportunity to do a questionnaire for something special for the event that took me until the day after it was over to fully understand. It was a thing where you drew and/or wrote why Naruto or Sasuke are ‘NS’, to be published in the guide book given at the event. I squeezed out all the information I could but time wasn’t generous (submissions closed on the 16th). I even had my quotes in Japanese for either Naruto or Sasuke and everything!
Guess which
“Ore ni toccha… yatto dekita tsunagari nan da”
“Sono itami ga hito wo tsuyoku suru
Dakara koso… sono tsunagari wo tatsu koto de
Ore wa sara naru tsuyosa wo te ni ireru”
(Gotta love the NO NARUSASU, No Life! on the back)
If anything, these failures push me to apply more, which is the exact reason I wanted to come to Japan, away from the brain-maiming influence of home.
It would have been really nice to have other fans to talk to and bullshit with like the rest, which was probably the main thing I regretted missing out on in this event. I hope you enjoyed reading, and felt as if you were there with me. /7:17 Wednesday
