I'm too lazy to draw conclusions by myself instantly, so I went to the Forums where they translated this doujinshi to see their opinion.
I was already suspecting that the flowers displayed must be involved with language of flowers and DAMN I was correct. Nilo even bothered herself to put in the 45th page (don't know if I placed it. Hm. Guess not) the name of each flower and I went looking for it. (put list later)
So, it seems that the effect of having Sharingan is that Sasuke can see his "mood" and the "ambiance" around him. I think. However, now only he's losing his eyesight, but it also hurts looking at those, as placed in the sfx that...err....I forgot to translate. But the moment he saw Naruto's face blurring and squinted his eyes, there was "Sting" "sting" sfx.
