Almond flour: acquired! (Not cheaply, perhaps, but acquired.) Hurrah for the Granary.

Zipper: basted.

Jelly: ...I think this is more of a syrup than a jelly. Fuck.

Knitted pressies are getting their bath tonight. I might go start on that now, actually...

I've had that problem more than once. :/ At least around here they sell powdered pectin.

That's a very good point... this might be salvageable, then! I'll have to re-sterilize and then re-seal the jars, but the dishwasher will make that less of a pain.

I've salvaged more than one batch of exactly that jelly--at worst, you can stir in a bit of apple sauce, cook it down until it's darker, and call it apple butter.

I'm glad someone else has experience with this stuff, because I was staring at it like, "Uh, maybe we can pour it out and boil it some more?" and j00's been too busy finishing knittings to even think about it.
