See this? Draped over the back of my ugly sofa, it looks innocent doesn't it? It looks like a perfectly normal square baby blanket.

No; blocking only works with animal and plant fibres. This yarn is acrylic and nylon.

You do realise that, had you not pointed it out, we all would have just looked at that first photo and gone, "Awesome! That looks so nifty and cheerful!" and would never have known it wasn't all completely squared off.

It's nifty looking not being a square. I didn't even no it wasn't intentional until you said something. If you're not happy with it being a blanket, you could get a wire frame and turn it into a parasol.
