I really like your take on this. The boys making the best of an awful situation - and it explains a lot. Sad, but hopeful!

That was great! I like that you didn't have them immediately fall into each other's arms with confessions of love and kissing. Them leaning against each other on the couch says so much.

Glad you liked it! I did want it to be realistic (well, as realistic as this gets)--things are still pretty messed up around them, and they've just spent six years despising each other, so instant confessions of undying love would probably not happen! (Maybe later on, though...) And I'm glad the couch moment worked for you--I wanted them to be touching, to be each other's support, without it being too cuddly. :-)
