This was gonna happen sooner or later; the sooner the better actually, because my hair was already giving me too much trouble. Drying by fan took more than an hour, I kept getting the ends wet when washing stuff because they'd "follow" me into the sink or bucket, my head was getting randomly tugged whenever strands got caught in my watch strap or ( Read more... )

$266.43, GST included. Cut price varies by rank though...Waka-san is at Stylist rank so the charge was $80; if you get a Senior Stylist it'd be $100. You can look at the price menu on Kizuki's site. Do visit if you're willing to spend! No hard sell so you won't get someone trying to make you do more with your hair unless it's really suitable. And Waka-san is v nice and skillful so I'd recommend him too :)

Aaaah.. but for highlight, cut & wash, at a salon it's not bad, especially if there's no hardsell! But umm you mentioned that they kinda spoke Japanese 80% of the time? I'm still studying and I feel like dying from all that kanji and the bajillion and one grammar rules! Where will you be heading off to?

Yup, actually Waka-san knows a bit of English, but most of the time he spoke to me in Japanese while I replied largely in English with just a sprinkle of Japanese (just vocab-based; if particles/tenses were needed I just switched back to English haha). But you'd probably be able to understand a lot of what they're telling you, they'll try their best to communicate despite the language barrier. I'm going to Korea in May, excited!
