First I just want to say I am in looooove with these reasons and what all you have written :) I have also been a huge Barney and Robin fan since S1's "Zip, Zip, Zip"! My mom and sister think I am crazy for thinking B/R will work out in the end, but I absolutely know they will be together, especially after reading these reasons! I noticed in S6 "Big Days", Robin sundresses up, so to speak, and I saw that Robin not only wanted to look nice, but wanted to clean up for Barney. She clearly wanted to show she was still beautiful and wanted to prove it to Barney. Barney also noticed this, and with the dreamy look in his eyes and the way he says 'you sundressed up', he clearly loves her more than just a best friend. I thought I would point that out since it stood out to me!!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read my list. I noticed that too in "Big Days" that Robin really wanted to prove to Barney that she was still hot. Robin seemed to like the attention she got from Barney after she sundressed up for him. And like you said, Barney looking dreamy eyed at Robin clearly shows that he loves her more than just a friend. Thanks again for reading and commenting.

Friends are important nillis11 April 11 2012, 20:39:40 UTC
First of all, how amazing all the clues and comments are, i really love your effort about this.

Here is maybe another clue... En ep 1, season 4, The Front Porch Ted breaks up with Karen after she says that "Ted cannot ever see Lily again" and he imagines what the future would be like without her and Marshall. The reason he gives is that it is ok if his friends doesn´t aprove to his girlfriend, but his girlfriend must like his friends.

Now think about Quinn and her behauvior with Barneys friends. Quinn says to Barney: "Or - make the monkey dance for you", in ep 19, The Broath when she lustfylly says "hells yes" to his question about making evil planes.

Who would want a girlfriend like that in the long run? Hopefully not mr Stinson. Cause what he also gets in a relationship with Robin is cordiality.

I was speculating about something similar to this a few days ago. I was thinking that maybe Quinn won't like the gang very much and will want Barney to be less involved in their lives. Quinn's negative opinion about the gang and how she treats them might lead to Barney breaking-up with her. I like the comparison you made to what happened with Ted/Karen to what might happen with Barney/Quinn in the end. And I agree with you that it doesn't make any sense for Barney to want to be with Quinn in the long-run if she gets joy out of mistreating/manipulating his friends.

More reasons!!! YAY! I have bookmarked all four posts and read random ones (or the whole list, sometimes) when I start to think that Robin won't be the bride! They give me hope! Thanks again for so many extra reasons!

Hey, I just want to congratulate you for this awesome post you have written! I have always loved Barney and Robin and I really want them to stay together. But i saw something that made me nervous.. i don't remember where it was but Carter Bays said “There will be a new romance for her next year, definitely,” he reveals. “We already have some ideas for that.” Have you seen it? Let me know what you think =)
I hope you get 9 more reasons done before the finale!
Ps: sorry for my english but write in a foreign language is hard!

Thanks so much! I have seen that quote from Carter Bays too. I think if Barney and Robin get back together at the end of this season, Carter might just be referring to Barney as a "new romance" for Robin b/c their second relationship will be better/different than their old romance. If Carter is referring to a new love interest for Robin next season, I think Robin could still be Barney's bride b/c the wedding takes place in the future. There would still be time for Robin to date this new guy, break-up with him, and start dating Barney all leading up to their future wedding. So whether this "new romance" refers to Barney or someone else, I still think Robin could be revealed as Barney's future bride at the end of this season. Thanks for taking the time to read my list and comment on it. I really appreciate it.

Robin and Barney marriage ext_1171995 April 24 2012, 08:38:21 UTC
I just have read a comment from Cobie in twitter, that she had an amazing time in Italy, a photo with Neil was attached. Maybe they were shooting their honeymoon scenes?? The rest of the gang was not there. Only Cobie, Neil, and David Burtka. Hmmmm... :))

Yeah, I saw those pictures too. The photoshoot was for CBS Watch! Magazine. I only know that detail b/c Lauren Feinstein (who I think was the photographer) posted that on Twitter (along with a picture of her w/Cobie and Neil). I'm actually going to add the fact that Neil and Cobie did this photoshoot as one of my new reasons. I just think it is a good indication that Robin will be revealed as Barney's bride in the finale if Neil and Cobie are being flown to Italy (without the rest of the cast) to do a photoshoot together for CBS. CBS would already know how the season ends so they would probably want to talk about who Barney's bride is in their next magazine issue that comes out in June. That is why I'm thinking Robin has to be Barney's bride. Otherwise, that is just a waste of time and money for CBS to fly Neil and Cobie out to Italy just to do a photoshoot.
